International Amateur Theatre Festival Stuttgart
The AMAFEST 2026 officially opens its call for participation!
This international festival offers a stage for theatre groups from around the world to share their creativity, passion, and artistic vision with an international audience.
We are looking for productions that stand out through bold form, innovative artistic expression, and authentic storytelling. Whether experimental, visual, poetic, or movement-based – all theatrical languages are welcome as long as they move and inspire.
Participation Guidelines:
- Small ensembles of up to 5–6 people (including technical staff)
- Short performances preferred – ideally under 45 minutes
- Portable sets and technical flexibility suitable for any stage, including outdoor venues
- Preference for form theatre, visual theatre, or dance theatre exploring new ways of artistic experience
- Open to participants 18 years and older
Festival dates: June 11–14, 2026
